I am currently using Dell 2405FPW, I was able to install the monitor XP driver onto Vista without any error. It continously works fine without any problems. But each time I boot up, it keeps asking me for generic Display driver.
Is there a way to manually set the Monitor driver so it does not reset when reboot?

Generic Display Driver
Vista has a generic driver for monitors. Why load the XP driver? The generic will work fine. It was designed for Vista. Jonty

The problem is after I installed the Dell Display Profile, it will reset after boot up. And each time it boot up, it ask for Generic Display even I have selected Generic Display before I boot up.

RK, Right click desktop, select Personalize > display settings > advanced settings > monitor > properties > driver. Uninstall the driver and reboot. Windows should install the generic driver. Jonty
